Do oral contraceptives affect your curls?

Hormones affect curls

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought to yourself that your hair isn’t the same anymore? Did you notice changes in the shape, strength or shine of your hair? It’s fairly common that as you age, your hair changes itself as well, much like your entire body. The aspect of your mane is affected by many environmental factors such as diet, stress, chemicals, sun exposure and most importantly, hormones.

How hormones affect my curls?

Curly hair is mostly genetically inherited, and the structure responsible for this is the hair follicle, which are bulb-shaped sacs accountable for hair growth and also the shape of the hair itself. If the follicle is asymmetrical, the hair will be oval and tends to bend itself, producing beautiful curls!

Basically, there’s a whole environment around your hair follicles. And this environment needs to be in good health for your hair to maintain its health as well, such as an appropriate amount of nutrients and balanced hormones. A natural product like Provillus we’ll do the trick!

During pregnancy or menopause, for instance, many women claim that their hair changed its look or structure, causing their curls to loosen up and become straighter than they used to be. And the culprit for these changes is the hormonal imbalance.

Birth control pills and curls

But what happens with them if we take birth control pills? Oral contraceptives have a similar mechanism of action with pregnancy. They contain a mix of hormones, respectively estrogen, and progesterone, much like the hormonal boost you have when you are pregnant. Simply put, they trick your body into thinking that it’s pregnant. Many women claim their curls are not what they used to be and hair became more fragile and brittle when they started to be on “the pill” and especially after they gave up on taking it. Of course, it doesn’t happen to everybody. But if it happens to you, it’s not a death sentence!  There are many ways to maintain your curls in shape – you can use particular hair products for curly hair, introduce foods rich in phytoestrogen like soybeans, oat and wheat berries and also it’s important to monitor your hormone levels. You should refer to your physician when you decide to start taking oral contraceptives.

So don’t despair! Although some women experience hair reshaping, there are many things you can do about it and still safely using the birth control pill. One solution is to use an all-natural remedy like Provillus and notice the difference!

RNB Music

Why do we Enjoy Listening to RNB Music?

Many people do not realize that R&B actually goes back a long way and is not just your Chris Brown’s, Usher’s, and Beyonce’s that are seen today. In fact this beautiful form of music first came about back in the 1940’s from artists such as Louis Jordan , Roy Brown, and Wynonie Harris  and has always been a popular style right until this day.

This African-American style of tempo has since been mastered by superstars such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston and it is known for lyrics usually being about soul, love, life, and heartbreak.  It is a style that looks like it will never die and will in fact just evolve even more into the future.

Why So Popular?

The melody provided by good RNB songs allows for some beautiful tunes to be constructed and when combined with wholesome lyrics the end result can be nothing short of fantastic. It is a type of sound that is loved across many age groups and of course gender which lends itself to being a popular

The great thing about RNB is that it can be very romantic which makes it ideal for playing when having a date. Those special occasions when a man brings his loved one, potential new girlfriend or even one of the many high quality London girls out for a date, they can use this type of sound to generate just the right kind of atmosphere.

London ladies are known for not only being very beautiful but also for the high level of companionship that they can offer. Girls in general are adept at conversation, are usually high educated and are often well-travelled. In addition to this, they have a great life experience and know how to savour each moment. They can be the extra spice brought to any occasion and will make it one to remember, even if you will want to spend one crazy night in your favorite club.

Where can it be heard?

R&B music is not just confined to our radio stations and music collections as there are many nightclubs around the world that specialize in this kind of sound as well. Nights out at places like this can be highly enjoyable whether it is alone or with some company such as a date or a girl due to the soulful music that is being played.

R&B in our modern day is generally seen as being popular among the younger generation which is why it is often played in clubs but in truth older generations are known to like it as well. This might be down to some of the older artists rather than what is heard today but in essence it is the same kind of sound that has evolved through time.

RNB has been a popular style of music for many decades and it is difficult to see that changing in the future. It is the type of sound that will be able to stand the test of time and will probably still be listened to in another 50 years and quite possibly for many years longer than that.

Gigs

Best RNB Artists of All Time

RNB music has created many celebrity names over the years with many of these artists actually being some of the biggest names on the planet in their day. This soulful style of music requires strong vocal skills and is not a style that just any music artist can perform well. It takes a special talent to make it big in this sound and generally once they do, they are around for a very long time.

The likes of Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce will immediately spring to mind of many people out there but there are actually many other big names that have made it in RNB over the years. Let’s not forget that this style of music has been around since the 1940’s, so there are plenty of R&B legends that have been created.

Stars From the Past

If we were going to look to starts before the 1980’s there are many to remember such as Nat King Cole, Al Green, Ronald Isley, Diane Warwick, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, and the enigmatic James Brown. Most of those names will be known very well by the older generations but even true younger music lovers will have heard of their dedication to RNB music.

More Recent Stars

As for stars from over more recent years there are just as many to hear such as Prince, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, and the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson. They have been in music for most of their lives and are still going strong apart from the recent deaths of Jackson and Houston.

RNB will always be a popular choice of music and it will no doubt produce many more stars in the future. If any of them can replicate even half of the success of those already mentioned above they will have done very well for themselves.
